Idaho Falls, ID – the county seat of Bonneville County, and a regional hub for all of South East Idaho with the largest diversity of consumer needs such as hospitals, shopping, dining, and service industries. With a population of approximately 56,813, it is the largest city in Idaho, outside of the Boise Metro area. As part of the original Westward migration of settlers in the mid/late 1800’s, and became anchored as a city by the timber-frame toll bridge that was built to cross the Snake River in 1864, as a way for the miners, freighters, trappers and traders to continue on their Western migration. Idaho Falls is probably known best for the Idaho National Laboratory, a nuclear reactor testing facility located 45 miles West of town.
